It goes without saying that it is essential to place the grill in a ventilated and above all non-humid room. If you live in a house where there is humidity in every room, the most appropriate place is the bathroom. Here the heat emanating from the radiators and the shower will facilitate the drying of the clothes on the line. But, if it does not have a window, ventilation will not be optimal. So always remember to dehumidify the room where you install the drying rack. Remember that the less humid the laundry is, the faster it will dry. Ideally, it would be best to dry your clothes during the day to take advantage of the daylight and thus speed up the process. This is why it is advisable to opt for the sunniest room possible!

Don’t have a dehumidifier at home? Why don’t you make one yourself? Know that 150 g of coarse salt will be enough to dehumidify a room of approximately 25 m2. As a bonus, you can reuse it several times and thus avoid mold growth.

Here are the steps to follow:
Pour 150 g of coarse salt into a bowl and leave to cool in the refrigerator overnight.
The next day, put the salt at the bottom of a funnel (a 1.5 liter plastic bottle).
Place the container in the humid room and wait a few days for the salt to take effect. It will absorb much of the moisture present.
As soon as you notice that the salt has become dark or very wet, replace it. Ideally, it would be good to renew it after four days.
At the same time, do not forget to air the room every day, morning and evening. Natural ventilation is essential to limit humidity and avoid the development of unpleasant odors.
Additionally, against humidity, you can also get salt lamps. They are not only decorative, but above all very useful for improving air quality. Likewise, some houseplants absorb humidity and purify the ambient air, such as orchids, ficus, climbing ivy, tillandsia or even Boston fern.
